Archery: The National Archery Centre is inside
the gates of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, but is a
separate entity, and anyone may use the facility for a
nominal fee.
Basketball: Among the most popular sports in
Kuwait, basketball is played at all major sports clubs.
Games are organized mainly at the Kuwait Sports Club.
Bowling: There are four main bowling alleys, at
the Silver Towers, the Hunting and Equestrian Club, the
Holiday Inn Hotel, and the Safir International Hotel.
Camel Racing : One of the most
exciting and rare events you will ever hope to see in
Kuwait is camel racing. The racing season is usually in
winter from November through April.
Hunting & Equestrian: Hunting & Equestrian Club
horse racing is held on Monday at 3:00 PM from October
to April except during Ramadan. There are 4-5 races each
week, both sprints (1000 meters) and long-distance (2200
meters). Jockeys and horses from all over the world
compete on the club’s attractive, tree-lined track, and
the public is invited. Other club facilities include
Equestrian School, Ground tennis, Squash Courts,
Bowling, Billiard & Snooker, Bow & Arrow and
Basketball.
Ice Skating Rink: This is an Olympic-size
ice-skating rink as well as a smaller rink. The rink is
located on off the 1st Ring Road at Shamiya Gate.

Paint Ball: Paint Ball has been in action since
early 2000. The Paintball field lies right behind the
Kuwait Towers. It consists of two castles, seventeen
pro-ball obstacles, four war-like ditches, grass
platforms and more. It is the right activity for anyone;
man, woman, young or old.
Quad Biking: Kuwait is probably one of the best
quad biking areas in the world. Heading north towards
Sulabikhat one can find a big ridge on the left hand
side and right along the base of the ridge quad bikes
can be hired for a drive across the desert. The area
where people quad bike sees hundreds of families and
individuals every week right through the winter camping,
picnicking, quad biking and driving.
Racing: Motorcycle races are held from May to
October and automotive races through out the year. Some
races are regularly organized on Thursdays in the
Science Club, 6th Ring Road. |
